UPDATES ON STANDARDS:

BSI Flex 3030:2024  is a  document recently issued by BSI to help business focus on their transition to NET ZERO.

Q: How does it tie in with ISO 14001 & 9001?

A: BSI Flex 3030 is a standalone document focused specifically on net zero transition planning, but there is likely to be some natural crossover with existing systems. It has been designed to complement frameworks like ISO 14001 and 9001, without contradicting them

This BSI Flex gives recommendations for an organization intending to design and implement its transition to net zero through a clearly defined plan leading to GHG emissions reductions. It covers how companies can :

  • quantify their GHG baseline (emissions and removals);

  • set targets for GHG emissions reductions;

  • identify those actions or measures necessary to achieve the NZTP; and

  • create a realistic pathway to net zero

Check it out on the BSI website.

ISO 9001

The revision of ISO 9001, is now expected to be postponed until 2026. Initially, the updated version was planned for release by the end of 2025
